Welcome to the 6th edition of the Artistic Residency – Hybrid Territories.

What is residency?

The residency is a free program for artists who want to create, learn, and share their processes.
For four months, ten artists participate in weekly meetings, receiving mentoring, tutoring, and guidance.

When it happens:

In-person meetings:
March 18 to May 27, 2026, in Guarapuava (PR).

Final exhibition:
June 5th to 25th, 2026, in-person and virtual.

The activities take place at the UNICENTRO Arts Pavilion and at the Iracema Trinco Ribeiro Arts Center.

All activities are accessible: Sign language, subtitles, and plain language.

Theme of this edition:

The theme is Hybrid Territories.
We are talking about ways of living and creating that intersect:
Body and screen, center and margin, the intimate and the public, what is planned and what happens along the way.

Who can participate:

Artists with or without formal training, beginners or experienced,
that they create in:
visual arts, body, word, sound, folk arts, crafts, fashion, design, audiovisual
or mixtures of languages.

People who live in Guarapuava (PR) or the surrounding area can register.

The announcement gives preference to:
– young artists from peripheral territories (urban or rural);
– Black people, Indigenous people, LGBTQIA+ people, women, and people with disabilities.

How is the selection process?

The selection process has two stages:

1. analysis of applications;

2. Interviews with pre-selected individuals.

The team will observe:

– if your idea shows what you want to investigate or experiment with;
– if it relates to the topic of Hybrid Territories;
– whether the proposal fits within the time and space of the residency;
– if you are open to exchange and collective creation;
– if you're willing to participate in the program's documentation (roundtable discussions, artist's notebook, videos, Instagram, and online broadcasts);
– if you can be present at the meetings and the exhibition;
– if your story connects to the access preferences of the call for proposals (peripheral territories and historically excluded groups).

Important dates:

Registration: December 12, 2025 to February 11, 2026
Interviews: 02 to 05 March 2026 (to be confirmed)
Final result: March 11, 2026
